NICL completes first expansion phase of Caustic Soda plant

April 21, 2022 (MLN): Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited has successfully completed the first phase of the expansion of the Chlor Alkali (Caustic Soda) plant, which has started its commercial operations, the company’s filing on the bourse showed today.

With this expansion, the company replaced its existing plant with the latest technology acquired from ThyssenKrupp Nucera, Italy.

The production capacity of the first phase is 60 tons per day. The work on the second phase of the expansion, having the same production capacity, is in progress and would be available for commercial operation during the first quarter of the financial year 2022-23, the company said.
