National Refinery rejects reports on forced termination of employees

November 12, 2018 (MLN): National Refinery Limited (NRL) has rejected all the allegations regarding forced termination of employees, as telecasted by a private news channel on November 11 2018.

According to the notification issued to PSX, the company stated that all recruitments are carried out strictly on merit; whereas, retirements/terminations are carried out in accordance with employees’ terms of employment.

The company went on to specify that during 2018, 20 employees retired as per contract of their employment, whereas another 12, mostly up to 2 years’ service, were terminated being not required.

Therefore, the news report on forced termination of 150 employees was termed as false by the company.
