National PSDP allocation of Rs.1.86 trillion proposed for FY20

June 11, 2019 (MLN):

Funds allocation under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) has according to sources, been proposed to be kept at the same amount of Rs.675 billion in the upcoming fiscal year 2019 – 2020.

The final decision on this proposal will be pronounced in today’s budget announcement.  

These sources have revealed that in addition to this, supplementary alternate financing of Rs.250 billion has also been proposed which brings the combined allocation for federal government to Rs.925 billion. Last year’s alternate financing was nil.

In contrast, the proposed allocation for provinces amounts to Rs.912 billion alone while last year’s allocation to provinces was Rs.585 billion.

Following this, the total national PSDP allocation proposed for FY20 comes to Rs.1.84 trillion which is a jump of Rs.577 billion from last year.
