September 04, 2026 (MLN): Panther Tyres Limited (PSX: PTL) reported a remarkable 3x (204%) surge in its net profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, reaching Rs1.31bn compared to Rs431.63m in the preceding year.

Alongside the financial results, the board recommended a final cash dividend of Rs2 per share.

Reflecting this robust profitability, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the year tripled, rising to Rs7.82 from Rs2.57 in FY25.

The primary catalyst behind the financial performance was top-line revenue growth combined with a 33% expansion in gross margins.

Net revenue from contracts with customers grew by 12% year-on-year to Rs36.34bn, up from Rs32.57bn in FY25.

Although the cost of sales increased by 8% to Rs30.67bn, strong sales performance allowed gross profit to expand to Rs5.67bn compared to Rs4.26bn in the prior year.

On the operational front, overheads expanded to support market outreach and commercial activity.

Selling and distribution expenses rose 18% to Rs1.50bn, administrative expenses grew 19% to Rs577.73m, and other operating expenses expanded 105% to Rs224.86m.

Additionally, "other income" dropped 57% to Rs50.93m, while net impairment losses on financial assets slightly reduced to Rs51.12m. Despite operational expense inflation, strong core gross profit gains pushed profit from operations up by 37% to Rs3.37bn.

Below the operating line, PTL benefited from stable debt-servicing costs and reduced statutory levies.

Finance costs remained virtually flat at Rs1.45bn (down 1% from FY25). Combined with an 81% reduction in statutory levies (falling to Rs55.17m from Rs286.19m), profit before taxation surged to reach Rs1.87bn.

The company absorbed a higher corporate taxation charge of Rs555.86m for the year (up from Rs290.12m in FY25).

Backed by top-line growth, gross margin expansion, controlled debt charges, and lower levies, Panther Tyres Limited securely closed the fiscal year with a 204% increase in final net profit, settling at Rs1.31bn.
