Motorcycle, three-wheeler sales rise 22.3% in Sep

October 10, 2024 (MLN): Motorcycles and three-wheeler sales in Pakistan rose 22.3% in September 2024 to 130,960 units compared to 107,084 units sold in the same month of last year, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.

Similarly, on a month-on-month basis, the sales were recorded 25.64% higher compared to the topline of 104,234 in August 2024.

Cumulatively, in 3MFY25, sales of the respective category clocked in at 320,187 units, 19.03% higher compared to 268,990 units sold in 3MFY24.

The total production of Motorcycles and three-wheelers in Pakistan was recorded at 126,597 units in September, up 18.57% compared to 106,769 manufactured in the same month of last year.

On a monthly basis, the production comparison reflects a similar trend, rising 18.14%. In the previous month, 107,154 Motorcycles and three-wheelers were manufactured in the country.

Honda continued to solidify its position as the dominant industry leader, with sales of 110,139 units in September alone, taking its market share to 84.1%.

The brand's sales figure reflect a growth of 21.72% compared to the previous month, while up 15.87% compared to the topline recorded in September 2023.

The second and third leaders on the list were United Auto Motorcycle and Sazgar Three Wheeler, with sales figures of 13,302 and 2,168 units respectively in the review month.

Following closely, Suzuki sold 2,049 bikes in September, up 7.5% MoM, while 86.95% higher compared to September 2023.

In 3MFY25, Honda's sales were recorded at 270,877 units, compared to 232,139 units sold in 3MFY24.
