Mitsubishi optimistic about investment in Pakistan

January 9, 2019 (MLN): Country Manager, Mitsubishi, Kimihide Ando hinted at a potential investment in Pakistan when he, along with a delegation of Mitsubishi met with Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Federal Minister for Petroleum, on Wednesday.

Acknowledging Ghulam Sarwar for helping international investor companies, he said that his company is optimistic about investing in Pakistan.

As he underscored the importance of Pakistan’s geo strategic location, he said that the country can take a lot of advantage from LNG and that this government is making a futuristic policy.

Inviting international companies to invest in Pakistan’s gas sector, the Federal Minister for Petroleum said that, “The government is interested in helping all foreign companies who want to invest in the sector. All the obstructions will be removed from the way of gas market expansion,” he promised.

Concerned about the growing demand for gas, he added that “due to an increase in gas demand, investment in gas sector is the need of the hour and reputed international companies are in contact with the Petroleum division.”
