Midday Report: KSE-100 index up by 153 points

September 9, 2020 (MLN): The KSE-100 index has gained around 153 points so far and is currently trading at 42,175-mark.
The market is being led by sectors such as Fertilizer, Power Distribution, Cement and Commercial Banks, as they have combinely contributed over 120 points to the benchmark index.
As of now, the index has oscillated between a high of 42,242 points and a low of 42,023 points. Moreover, 53 companies are trading in the green region whereas 37 are lingering in the red.
The Pakisani Rupee has not changed much so far in today’s session, however, at some point during the initial trading hours, the local currency weakened by 15 paisa.
