MARI performs post-acid test at exploratory well Mari Ghazij-l

January 25, 2023 (MLN): Mari Petroleum Company Limited (PSX: MARI) has performed a post-acid well test at its exploratory well Mari Ghazij-l, located in Mari D&PL in Sindh Province, the company’s filing on PSX said on Wednesday.

The test was carried out to understand the well's behavior and expected improvements in its performance parameters.

The post-acid gas flow rate was 8.5 MMSCFD with a WHFP of 434 Psi at 64/64 inch choke. The well was further tested at a 128/64-inch choke to establish its production potential; during the test period, it flowed 9.6 MMSCFD of gas with a WHFP of 292 Psi.

The company has made a gas discovery at its exploratory well Mari Ghazij-l, located in Mari D&PL in Sindh Province. The gas flow rate established through Drill Stem Test (DST) was 5.1 million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day (MMSCFD) with Wellhead Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of232 Pounds Per Square Inch (Psi) at 64/64 inch choke size.
