Mari Energies discovers gas at Soho-1 well in Sindh

May 09, 2025 (MLN): Mari Energies Limited (PSX: MARI) has disclosed a significant gas discovery at the Soho-1 exploratory well, drilled in the Sujawal Block located in Sujawal district, Sindh Province.

Testing conducted on the Lower Goru (Massive Sand) Formation at Soho-1 has revealed the following flowing parameters:

Further testing of additional targeted formations is currently in progress to fully assess the well’s potential.

This marks the first gas discovery in the Lower Goru (Massive Sand) Formation within the Sujawal Block and represents a breakthrough in exploration efforts in the region, which had previously seen several failures in Massive Sand targets, the notification issued to the local bourse.

Mari Energies is the operator of the Sujawal Block and holds a 100% working interest.
