Lucky Cement’s profit after tax rises to Rs43.52bn

January 30, 2025 (MLN): Lucky Cement Limited (PSX: LUCK) has reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs43.52 billion for the half-year ended December 31, 2024, reflecting a 13.5% increase from Rs38.32bn in the same period last year.

The company's gross revenue surged to Rs279.4bn, up from Rs247.5bn in the previous year.

Despite a rise in cost of sales, which stood at Rs159.3bn, the gross profit grew to Rs65.1bn, compared to Rs63bn last year.

LUCK’s profit before tax stood at Rs54.43bn, marking a significant improvement from Rs47.51bn in the same period last year.

Earnings per share (EPS) climbed to Rs134.36, compared to Rs117.19 in December 2023.

The increase in earnings is attributed to higher sales volumes, better pricing, and strategic cost management.

The company continues to benefit from joint ventures and associate contributions, adding Rs9.18bn to its profits.
