KSE Closing Bell – Index Down for third straight Session

KSE 100 Index closed Thursday’s trading at 33,921.96 down 53 points. Total volume fell to 145m shares compared to 192m shares from previous session. The Market started on a positive note gaining 185 point in early trade and remained positive for much of the session. The index traded in a range of 242 points or 0.70% of previous close. It hit an intraday high of 34,159.82 (185) and low of 33,917.9 (-57). Total Market Cap fell by 13Bn. Of the 379 Companies traded, 184 closed up, 164 closed down while 31 remained unchanged.

According to market sources, one of the reasons for the negative close is that some of the results have been below expectations.
