KSE Closing Bell – Index Closes 24 Points Down

    KSE100 Index ended Wednesday's trading session 24 points down to close at 33,934.04 after having been as low as 33,687.98 (-270.14) points in early trade. The index traded in a range of 281.70 points and touched an intraday high of 33,969.68 (11.56) points. Total volume was 152.9m shares, a decrease of 52.9m shares, compared to previous session's 205m. Of the 352 traded scrips 152 closed up, 177 closed down while 23 remained unchanged. Total Market Cap decreased by Rs.15bn.

    Most active sector was Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 21m shares followed by Power Gen & Destribution at 14.7m and Tech & Comm at 14.5m shares.

    According to figures released by NCCPL, foreign investors were net sellers by $2.2 million.
