KSE-100 Index surges despite chaos as investors hunt for value

March 02, 2023 (MLN): Despite the political upheaval, rising economic uncertainty, default noise, and delay in the IMF tranche, the KSE-100 Index has so far gained 263.12 points [1:03 PST] as the index is currently trading at 40,675.89- mark.
The investors opted for value hunting since the majority of the blue chips are available at attractive prices.
Sector-wise, oil & gas exploration companies, commercial banks, fertilizer, and power generation have witnessed higher buying activity as they have gained around 117, 111, 52, and 35 points, respectively.
Company-wise, the scrips of MARI, POL, LCI, ABOT, and ENGRO have enjoyed the maximum gain.
