January's statistics likely to exhibit improvement in balance of payment: Minister Revenue

February 1, 2019: The Senate was informed yesterday that government is taking concrete steps to take the economy on the right path by enhancing exports of the country.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar while responding to a call attention notice, moved by Sherry Rehman in the House.
He expressed the confidence that increase in export and decrease in imports will be witnessed in January’s statistics.
He also said current account and trade deficit will be reduced due to prudent policies of the government.
Hammad Azhar said circular debt increased from 400 to 1400 billion rupees in the time of previous government.
