IRSA releases 342,400 cusecs water on Thursday

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 342,400 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 246,600 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1419.62 feet, which was 39.62 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 153,700 cusecs while outflow as 80,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1094.75 feet, which was 54.75 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 47,100 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 111,300, 85,800 and 11,400 cusecs respectively.

Similarly from the Kabul River, 81,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 42,600 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
