IRSA releases 193,629 cusecs water

May 16, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Monday released 193,629 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 199,847 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,414.33 feet, which was 22.33 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 95,700 and 90,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,085.55 feet, which was 35.55 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded 34,516 and 33,998 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 119,606 ,86,633 and 37,890 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 34,900 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 34,731 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
