IRSA releases 185,456 cusecs water

May 13, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 185,456 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 200234 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,412.32 feet, which was 20.32 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 9,5000 and 8,5000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,083.75 feet, which was 33.75 feet higher than its dead level of 1050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded at 39,317 and 34,539 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 11,1822,75,954 and 33,370 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 36600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 29,317 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
