IRSA released 30,058 cusecs water

January 13, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 30,058 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 49,910 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,440.58 feet, which was 48.58 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 14,500 and 5,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,130.15 feet, which was 80.15 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded 10,467 and 115 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 24,082, 23,387 and 3,408 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 7,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 17,343 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
