The benchmark KSE 100 Index currently trading at 44,681.21, positive by 144.53 points. Up till now, the index posted a day high of 44,763.37 and a day low of 44,498.40.

Oil and gas Exploration sector companies added 129.11 points to the index as oil prices are up in the International market.

Engro is up by 29.54 points, as its material information is disclosed in which it has been announced that Engro is investing USD 21,375,000 in ordinary shares of Siddiqsons Energy Limited to develop a coal fired power generation plant of 330MW approximately.

Fertilizer sector is up because due to the shortage of urea, some fertilizer prices have increased.

Textile sector is down today as Textile sector has shown dissatisfaction over the budget for 2018-2019 as their proposals including abolishment of Export Development Surcharge, disbursement of exporters' refunds and reduction in tariff of electricity and gas were not accommodated.

The banking sector companies are down today by 53.37 points.
