Implementation of CPEC projects to be further accelerated: Minister

July 13, 2021: Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar says pace of work on implementation of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects will be further accelerated in coming days.

Talking to Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong in Islamabad, he said the establishment and operationalization of the Special Economic Zones is among the top priorities as they will enable setting up joint ventures in manufacturing and help integrate the enterprises from both sides.

They discussed matters pertaining to the upcoming 10th Joint Coordination Committee and Joint Working Group meetings and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador said the JCC will provide an opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation under the CPEC and open new avenues.
