High Commissioner launches Pakistani Mango Chaunsa in Malaysia

High Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria inaugurated the launch today of Pakistani mangoes “Yellow or Desi Chaunsa” at a leading chain of stores, Jaya Grocers’ six branches across Kuala Lumpur and adjacent Shah Alam state, namely; Intermark, Starling Uptown, Garden Mid Valley, Tropicana Mutiara, Empire Subang & Jelutong (Shah Alam).

Early this month, launch of Sindhri for the first time had evinced good interest among Malaysian consumers. Jaya Grocer owner greeted the High Commissioner. He expressed great confidence in Pakistani exotic fruits. People from various walks of life were attracted as it was fast selling.

Pakistan’s “Yellow or Desi dubbed as Supreme Chaunsa” was formally introduced for the first time in Malaysian market where traditionally “White Chaunsa” and “Beganphali” have been known varieties.

The High Commission endeavours to expand and diversify Pakistan’s exports of fruits and vegetable to Malaysian market which has remained under exploited for Pakistan’s quality products. The High Commission is also striving to raise awareness of mutual business, trade and investment opportunities among the businessmen of both countries.

The High Commissioner had on both the occasions presented as gift the delicious mangoes to the Malaysian dignitaries and diplomats, who fondly recall the unique sweetness of Pakistan’s king of fruits.

Messers Syarikat Ajensi Maju Ria jointly run by a Malaysian and Malaysia based Pakistani businessmen imported the mangoes from Pakistan. The High Commissioner has been encouraging and facilitating both the importing and exporting companies.

The importer with Jaya Grocers cooperation has put up beautiful standees and stalls for introducing the “Yellow Chuansa” mangoes. A tasting campaign for the incoming customers was also part of the launch. The campaign will continue until Sunday, the 29th July.
