Greece, Pakistan agree to encourage legal migration

November 24, 2022 (MLN): The government of Greece and Pakistan has agreed to encourage legal migration pathways, combat illegal migration and resolve the issues related to Pakistani expatriates in Greece.

An agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Hussain Turi and the Minister of Migration and Asylum of the Hellenic Republic, Greece.

During the meeting, both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to continue working toward the resolution of issues of mutual concern.

Sajid Hussain Turi is currently on his ten-day visit to various countries to explore employment for overseas Pakistanis and resolve their grievances

Moreover, The Minister thanked the Greek government for its assistance in Pakistan's flood relief efforts.
