Govt keeps petrol price unchanged, hikes diesel by Rs5 per litre

October 16, 2024 (MLN): The government has kept the price of petrol unchanged, while hiked the price of high-speed diesel by Rs5 per litre.

Accordingly, the new prices now stand at Rs247.03 for petrol and Rs251.29 a litre for HSD.

The new prices comes into effect from October 16 and will remain in effect for the remainder of the month.

The Oil and Gas regulatory Authority (Ogra) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market," read a statement released by the Finance Division.
