Govt hikes petrol prices by Rs17.5 per litre

August 16, 2023 (MLN): The caretaker government on Wednesday hiked the petrol prices by Rs17.5 to Rs290.45 per litre amidst increasing prices of oil in the international market, said a press release issued today.

Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs20 to Rs293.4 per litre.

The new prices are effective from August 16, 2023.

To note, on August 01, the federal government decided to raise the price of petrol by Rs19.95 per litre, and HSD by Rs19.9 per litre.
