Govt allocates Rs 7.254bln to uplift electricity infrastructure in merged districts of KP: Omar Ayub

December 18, 2019: Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub Khan says the government has allocated 7.254 Billion rupees to uplift electricity infrastructure in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said a total of 440 villages of merged districts will be electrified with the allocation.

The Minister said Power Division has developed Project Management Software that will keep a complete record of all projects.

He said the software will not only ensure transparency but will also help in timely execution and completion of projects contributing towards cost reduction.

The meeting was apprised that work on new grid station and laying of new transmission lines has also been started and a total of 3.937 billion rupees has been earmarked for the activity.
