Government taking steps to promote mechanized farming, agri produce in Sindh

Sindh Government has taken several steps to promote mechanized farming and agriculture produce in the province.
Under the plan, Rs 500 million will be provided to farmers for purchase of tractors as assistance during the next fiscal year.
An amount of Rs 75 million has been earmarked for the provision of combined harvester of wheat and paddy on fifty percent subsidized rates to the farmers.
Installation of solar tube-wells, lining of the water courses and provision of drilling rigs to the farmers is also included in the plan to increase per acre yield in the province.
