Government promotes digitization to boost transparency: Ahsan Iqbal

April 04, 2025 (MLN): In a bid to enhance transparency, the government is actively working towards promoting digitization, as stated by Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister for Planning and Development.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, alongside Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain and Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima, Iqbal emphasized that for the first time under the Ramadan Relief Package, deserving individuals were integrated into the digital economy.

He noted that as part of the initiative, each eligible family was provided with Rs5,000.

Rana Tanveer Hussain highlighted that this year’s Ramadan Relief Package was distinctive for directly transferring cash to deserving families, according to the press release.

Meanwhile, Shaza Fatima underscored the government's focus on digitizing all citizen services to enhance public convenience, while also improving revenue collection and bolstering the economy.
