Gold prices witness sharp cut by Rs1,900 to close at Rs107,700 per tola

June 17, 2021 (MLN): The price of 24 karat per tola gold observed a sharp decline of Rs1,900 on Thursday and was sold at Rs107,700 against the sale at Rs109,600 yesterday.

According to the data released by Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of ten-gram 24 karat gold also dipped by Rs1,629 and was traded at Rs92,335 against the price of Rs93,964 reported yesterday, while ten-gram 22 karat gold valued at Rs84,640.

The price of per tola silver witnessed a slight decline of Rs10 and was sold at Rs1,450 against yesterday’s close of Rs1,460, while that of ten-gram silver dropped by Rs8.57 and was traded at Rs1,243.14.

Followed by higher treasury yields, the demand for yellow metal was dented by $57 and was stood at $1,798 in international market against the previous day’s rate of $1,855 per ounce, while silver was priced at $26.60 an ounce.
