Gold prices hit new peak in Pakistan

March 28, 2025 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Friday, with 24-karat gold reaching a new peak at Rs323,380 per tola, marking an increase of Rs2,380.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs277,246 after a gain of Rs2,041, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs254,151 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,610 per tola (+Rs30) and Rs3,096 per 10-gram (+Rs27).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,084 an ounce, up $28.3 or 0.93% from the previous session.

Gold prices surged to a record high on Friday, as investors flocked to the safe-haven asset amid fears of a global trade war triggered by U.S. President Donald Trump's latest tariffs.
