Gold price plunges by Rs 750 per tola

December 10, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices tumbled on Thursday as yields of US Treasury bonds and the dollar moved higher. The gold prices in the international market came down by US $23 and traded at US $1,837 per ounce while silver was valued at US $24 an ounce.

Safe-haven asset extended losses in the domestic bullion market. The price of 24 karat gold fell by Rs 750 to Rs 110,450 in the domestic bullion market. The precious yellow metal of 24-Karat had closed at Rs 110,300 per tola on the last day.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also dropped by Rs 643 to Rs 94,693 against the price of Rs 95,336 reported in the previous session.

On the other hand, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver remained static at Rs 1,220 and Rs 1,045.95 respectively.
