Gold price jumps to $1,918 as Biden inches closer to victory

November 5, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices jumped on Thursday on an account of risk positive news giving high hopes of Joe Biden’s victory in the US election. The gold prices in the international market increased by $27 and were traded at $1,918 an ounce while silver valued at $24.52 per ounce

On the domestic front, the price of 24 karat gold surged by Rs 1,000 to Rs 114,600 in the bullion market. The precious yellow metal of 24-Karat had closed at Rs 113,600 per tola on the last day.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs 857 to Rs 98,251 against the price of Rs 97,394 reported yesterday.

Likewise, the price of per tola silver and 10-gram silver also witnessed an increase of Rs 20 and Rs 17.15 to Rs 1,220 and Rs 1,045.95 respectively, the association reported.
