Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs300 per tola

January 21, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs283,200 per tola, up Rs300.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs242,798 after a gain of Rs257, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs222,565 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,372 per tola and Rs2,890 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,722 an ounce, up $12.3 or 0.45% from the previous session.

Gold prices surged to over a two-month high on Tuesday as the U.S. dollar weakened, while the yellow metal was also supported as investors flocked towards it amid uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump's trade policies.
