December 10, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs277,400 per tola, up Rs1,000.

Gold prices rose due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and expectations of a U.S. rate cut this month, with key U.S. inflation data later this week grabbing investors' attention.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs237,826 after a gain of Rs858, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs218,007 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,400 per tola and Rs2,915 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,664 an ounce, up $4.4 or 0.16% from the previous session.
