Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs1,000 per tola

January 08, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs277,000 per tola, up Rs1,000.
Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs237,483 after a gain of Rs858, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs217,693 per 10-gram.
On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,653 an ounce, up $4.1 or 0.16% from the previous session.
Gold prices edged up on Wednesday, as focus shifted to a key U.S. jobs report due later this week that could influence the Federal Reserve's rate path.
