December 30, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs272,600 per tola, down Rs600.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs233,711 after a decline of Rs514, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs214,235 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,613 an ounce, down $10.9 or 0.42% from the previous session.

Spot gold prices slipped in thin trade on Monday, as markets awaited next week's US economic data and the potential impact of President-elect Donald Trump's return to office on the Federal Reserve's 2025 outlook.
