Gold price in Pakistan declines by Rs800 per tola

December 27, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs273,200 per tola, down Rs800.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs234,225 after a decline of Rs686, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs214,706 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,630 an ounce, down $2 or 0.08% from the previous session.

Gold prices were stuck in a tight range on Friday after rising to their highest in a week in the previous session as geopolitical tensions supported safe-haven demand and led the metal to be on track for a small weekly gain.
