Gold price edges higher by Rs100 in Pakistan

February 22, 2024 (MLN): The domestic bullion market saw another slight increase, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs100 per tola to reach Rs215,300 per tola on Thursday.
The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold was at Rs184,585, reflecting a gain of Rs85 compared to the previous session.
While the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold increased to Rs169,203.
Silver prices remained unchanged today, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,570 per tola while 10-gram silver being traded at Rs2,203.36.
On the global front, international spot gold climbed above $2,034 per ounce, a gain of 0.4% DoD.
Yesterday's Fed minutes signalled most US officials are in no rush to cut rates.
