Gold price continues to rise to Rs 105,100 per tola

June 24, 2020 (MLN): Following the upward momentum, the gold market rallied as investors rushed to safe-haven assets amid capital markets volatility. The price of 24 karat-gold jumped by Rs 2000 to Rs 105,100 per tola in the local market today. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 103,100 per tola on the previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also gained Rs 943 to settle at Rs 901,106 against Rs 88,391 on the last trading day.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained flat at Rs 1,050 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver stayed stagnant at Rs 900.20.

In the international market, gold prices ticked up by $20 to $ 1,777 per ounce when compared to $1,757 while silver was pegged at $17.90 per ounce.
