Gold extends gains, up by Rs600 per tola

November 19, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates on Friday extended gains in the domestic bullion market as the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs600 to close at Rs124,600 per tola, the data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed.

The price of 10-gram of 24k gold also increased by Rs514 and was traded at Rs106,824 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs97,922.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver remained unchanged at Rs1,440 and Rs1,234.56 respectively.

Internationally, the precious metal was almost flat, showing a meager drop of $2 to $1,858 an ounce as traders remained cautious due to the risks of inflation and the prospect of a sharp rise in interest rates.
