FX reserves down by $206.5mn in a week

March 10, 2022 (MLN): The total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country dropped by $206.5 million or 1% WoW to stand at $22.67 billion during the week ended on March 04, 2022, compared to $22.87bn in the previous week, weekly data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday showed.

The data further revealed that reserves held by the central bank during the week declined by $250mn or 2% WoW to $16.2bn.

On the contrary, the reserves of commercial banks inched up by $43.7mn or 1% WoW to $6.46bn from $6.41bn in the previous week.
