FBR to conduct scrutiny of tax-exempted welfare organisations

SIALKOT, Mar 5 (APP)::Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to conduct a scrutiny of financial and tax records of 300 trust hospitals and welfare organisations.

According to senior FBR officials, these organisations and health facilities have tax exemption, but are making profits in Gujranwala division's all six districts: Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala. The officials said that the FBR would withdraw the tax exemption facility from the profit-making organisations after a thorough scrutiny.

The Bureau has has sought complete details and account records of these hospitals and other organizations.
