FBR reduces sales tax on some POL products

June 28, 2021 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a reduction in sales tax of some petroleum products to ensure supply at lower rates.

According to the SRO 807(I)/2021 issued on Saturday, FBR has maintained sales tax on Petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) at 17%.

However, sales tax on kerosene oil has been reduced to 6.7% from 9.15%. Similarly, sales tax on light diesel oil has been slashed to 0.2% from 2.74%.
