EDB notifies composition of AIDEC 2021-26

March 09, 2022 (MLN): The Engineering Development Board (EDB) has notified the composition of Auto Industry Development & Export Committee (AIDEC) 2021-26 from the private sector against the approved positions in Auto Industry Development and Export Policy (AIDEP) 2021-26.

The composition also includes Charman PAMA, Chairman PAAPAM, CEO Indus Motor Company Ltd., Vice President Honda Atlas Cars Ltd., Head of Automotive Division Lucky Motor Corporation, Group Director of Atlas Honda Ltd and other notable representatives from the auto industry.

To recall, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet approved Auto Industry Development and Export Policy (AIDEP) 2021-26 tabled by the Ministry of Industry & Production on AIDEP 2021-26 on December 16, 2021, with the directions that export targets given in the policy may be reviewed every year and updated accordingly and proposed tariff structure to be presented separately to the ECC.
