SBP reserves rise $16m to $21.5bn

October 15, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $15.8 million or 0.07% WoW to $21.47 billion during the week ended on October 09, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $65.9m or 0.25% WoW to $26.86bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $50.1m or 0.94% WoW to $5.39bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $3.00bn or 16.2%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $5.41bn or 33.6%.
