ECNEC approves projects in communications, power sectors

March 29, 2019: Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved projects in communications and power sectors.

The meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council was held in Islamabad on Thursday, with Finance Minister Asad Umar in the chair.

The Planning Division gave a presentation about the dualization of Western Alignment of CPEC - Kuchlak-Zhob section N-50.

The Committee accorded approval to the proposal of Power Division to interconnect isolated areas of Gawadar and Makran with the national grid system of Pakistan.

In order to quickly and timely respond to accidents and mishaps on the Corridor, the Committee approved a proposal of Ministry of Communications to setup an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
