SBP reserves rise $6m to $17bn

June 18, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $5.8 million or 0.03% WoW to $17.22 billion during the week ended on June 12, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $70m or 0.31% WoW to $22.74bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $64.2m or 1.18% WoW to $5.52bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.72bn or 18.75%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $1.16bn or 7.15%.
