ECC to revise national gas sale pricing

October 23, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held today at 1700 hours, will discuss the revision of national gas sale pricing for FY 2023-24, effective from October 01, 2023.
The meeting’s other agenda includes the permission for the Import of 1.00 MMT of milling wheat for the year 2023-24 to maintain strategic reserves, a summary which will be tabled by the national food security and research division.
Moreover, the committee will also discuss the request for a technical supplementary grant of Rs484 million.
To note, the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy last week formulated a gas tariff proposal of up to Rs2,900 per MMbtu for all consumer categories, subject to the ECC's approval.
