ECC to discuss PM Relief Package of Rs 200 billion for daily wage workers

April 21, 2020 (MLN): Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) will discuss Prime Minister Relief Package of Rs 200 billion which is to be earmarked for targeted Payments to daily wage workers. The meeting is scheduled to take place tomorrow, i.e.  April 22, 2020, at Cabinet Division.

The Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue will chair the meeting wherein the following important agenda points will be discussed:

• Presentation on Competition Commission of Pakistan- Ministry of Finance

• Approval of the Budget Proposal for the Year 2019-20 & revised Budget Estimate for 2018-19 of EOBI

• The arrest of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation Ships in South Africa on account of alleged claims of M/s Coniston against Pakistan Steel Mills Limited

• Pakistan Hydromet and Ecosystem Restoration Services Project (PHERSP) -exemption from the re-lending policy

• Provision of Funds of Rs 150 million as grant in aid/seed money for Islamabad Health Care Regulatory Authority

• Approval of Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) amounting to Rs 7 million within sanctioned budget for the purchase of spare parts for helicopter maintenance by HQ Frontier Corps, Baluchistan during FY20

• Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs 606 million for Nineteen projects of Water resource Division to be implemented by Government of Baluchistan for FY20

• Order dated August 16, 2018, filed by Syed Umar Baqi and 842 others vs Federation of Pakistan & others in the High Court of Sindh
