ECC meeting to take place tomorrow

November 6, 2018 (MLN): A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Cabinet is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday, November 7, 2018), at around 9:30 am.

Sources have revealed that the committee will discuss the amendments in Petroleum Policy 2012, along with the matter of doubling the Quantum of the SAARC Food Bank Reserves and the receivables of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

Moreover, the committee will also seek approval on issuance of salaries of Pakistan Steel Mills, for the month of September.

The sources further added, that potential risk of disruption in supply chain of petroleum products, and issues arising out of construction of LNG terminals, are likely to be deliberated upon. The committee will also table some recommendations for LNG resolutions.

In addition to these, reports on; tax evasion by sugar industry, and price rationalization of cement, will be discussed at length.
