Dr. Shamshad Akhtar reviews progress on measures prescribed under FATF regulations

Dr. Shamshad Akhtar today held a meeting at Finance Ministry to discuss the measures taken by current government regarding the Financial Action Task Force’s decision.

She also discussed money laundering and terrorism financing during the meeting. The matters pertinent to terror financing came under discussion and were scrutinized by the interim Finance Minister.

According to the claims made by the previous government, Pakistan has made some progress and take strong measures prescribed under the FATF Regulations.

However, the situation would become visible once the FATF plenary sits and makes a decision in the coming month.
